238. Mr. Cyprus’s Shorties
They are finally done!
Mr. Cyprus is now the proud owner of a pair of shorties! This is all hand spun with some wool I bought and some black Angora fiber from my bunny Deliah who died a year or so ago.
These shorties are so cute on him, and I love watching him walk around in them. It was TOTALLY worth all that work. I’ve got enough left over for a hat, maybe I should make one that matches eh?
238. Miss Daphne’s Kitten
Daphne is loving having kittens to love and adore.
We got two male cats, but for some reason, Daphne has decided that this cat is a girl cat. She has even named him, "Molly."
I can’t seem to shake her of the idea so for the past few weeks this male cat has been treated like a female. I wonder if the name Molly will stick?
237. Mr. Cyprus Swings with Sister
I even managed to get up on the swing with the kids. We spent some time going around and around. It was such a blast for everyone.
Tire swings are new inventions for Cyprus but he seemed to get the hang of it very quickly and he had a smile on his face the whole time.
Not the sweetness of Daphne enjoying watching her brother explore for the first time. Though she doesn’t have a great deal of patience with him just yet, she does care deeply for him.
236. Miss Daphne’s Bridge
Miss Daphne has found a bridge to explore at the Mcminnville city park. This bridges moves up and down when you walk on it so Daphne is jumping up and down having some fun.
I love the little blurry detail around her foot. It shows so clearly the fun little motion she was doing to get the bridge to work for her.
235/365 Copy Cat
Saw a portrait of a famous picture as a rendition of this pose. I thought I would try it out. Though I do like the result it is clear to me that the portrait I am copying was truly a portrait of that person and that personality. With leads me to explore the depths of what photography is capturing.
With a good photographer, the image presented is a glimpse into the world of the photographer. You are seeing a person or in some cases the world as the photographer sees it. The portrait I am trying to capture was striking. It had emotional depths. It was beautiful. Here, I am just doing a pose trying to capture body position. The image I like had so much more depth to it because it was telling a story.
So, though I did get an image I liked, it is not possible to simply capture an image by placing bodies in the same position you have seen them before. An image is captured when it shows life–life as the photographer experiences it.
A great lesson to learn.
