76/365 Jump

February25

I feel like my 365 photos have been going on the back burner lately, and I don’t like that. I have lots of ideas most of the time, but since I am the full time care taker of the kids during the day, I don’t feel like I can easily carry out doing a self portrait until I have help watching the kids so that I can work.

That usually means that I am rushed, so I end up just getting any photo I can. I am committing to stop putting it off to the end and even finding ways to incorporate the kids into the shots as necessary.

While I was out in Eastern Oregon, I really wanted to take a photo out on the ranch where I grew up.

There are so many opportunities for photos on the 28 acre plot where I grew up.

The last day that I was there I managed to take this photo out in the hay barn. I have so many memories playing out in the barn. We used to take care of stray cats and their kittens in the loft. We also were known to jump from the loft to the top of the hay stack and back (much to my grandmother’s dismay).

It was kind of fun to return to the place of my past and make a new memory and a really great photo!
