75/365 Knitting Frenzy

February25

I go through phases in my life where I concentrate on doing one thing or other obsessively. Sometimes I read non-stop. Other times, you can’t drag me out of the kitchen. Still other times, I’m attached to my camera.

Knitting is one of my obsessions that comes and goes. I just went through one of those phases. On my way to my sister’s house, I listened to the Knit Picks podcast. I had downloaded all 150 episodes, and was set to listen to them all. I was very inspired to get knitting.

It was so nice and relaxing at my sister’s house that I was able to sit down and just knit quite a bit. I made it half way through a jacket for Cyprus. I also got through 2 1/2 pairs of socks for him.

Here I am working on the 2nd pair of socks. I LOVE using double pointed needles for my socks, not a lot of knitters do that these days. Something about managing all those needles makes me happy. To each his own right?

I got about half way through the coat and discovered that I was completely out of yarn. Time to spin some more.

The socks are stunning. I made them out of Alpaca, and they are so soft and comfortable. Cyprus has been wearing them non stop since the moment they came off my needles.
