68/365 Burn Out

February17

I’ve reached a bit of a level of burn out. I’m in a rut. Though I consider myself incredibly lucky that I get to spend the day with my kids every day, I also find it exhausting.

We seem to have gotten into a rut lately. Daphne is grumpy a lot. I have to leave the house to do other activities to keep everyone happy. We are doing the same activities all the time, and time seems static and ever changing all at the same time.

TIME FOR A CHANGE. I decided to leave a little bit early to head over to my sister’s house for a visit and a break. A change of pace would mix things up a little bit and help me ultimately appreciate my regular life.

It turns out it was EXACTLY what I needed. I just got to be a guest in someone else’s house. No cooking or cleaning or running around picking up dirty underwear (thanks, sis and Josh).

I got to spend a lovely time with my sister, and I am no longer finding myself unable to keep my head up at the end of a crazy day.
